Privacy Policy

Last updated: 24 September 2026. This policy describes the current Wankagiriya 18+ research pilot. The pilot is experimental and does not perform KYC or identity verification.

What we collect

  • Google account information needed for sign-in, including your account email and authentication identity.
  • Your pilot profile: alias, selected avatar, gender, language, conversation intention, interests, bio, and self-declared 18+ status.
  • Messages and conversation records needed to provide the one-to-one chat service.
  • Block and report records, feedback, and basic product events used for safety, debugging, and pilot evaluation.
  • Approximate activity information such as last-seen timestamps used for presence features.
  • If you choose to enable browser notifications, the browser permission state is used to show match and message alerts while the pilot is running. This version does not yet use a background web-push subscription when the app is fully closed.

What other pilot members can see

Other members can see the public pilot identity you create, such as your alias, avatar, gender, language, intention, interests, bio, and approximate online status. Your Google email is not shown as your public Wankagiriya identity.

Chats and moderation

Wankagiriya pilot chats are not end-to-end encrypted. Access to database records is restricted, but the service can technically process stored messages. Reports may require limited review for safety or debugging. The admin interface is not intended as a casual private-message browser.

Why we use the data

We use pilot data to operate accounts, match users, deliver chats, support block/report controls, investigate bugs and abuse, measure whether the pilot works, and improve the product before a wider release.

Service providers

The pilot currently relies on Google for sign-in, Supabase for authentication/database/realtime services, and Vercel for web hosting and delivery. Those providers process technical information needed to provide their services under their own terms and privacy practices.

Retention and deletion

This early pilot does not yet promise a fixed retention period. Data may be retained during the pilot and for a reasonable period afterward for testing, safety, and debugging. If the pilot moves toward a real release, retention and deletion rules will be made more specific before launch.

Age and identity

This version is for adults who self-declare that they are 18 or older. A Google account does not prove age or real-world identity, and the current pilot performs no KYC.

Your choices

You can stop using the pilot, block another user, submit a safety report, or send feedback through the app. For privacy questions during the pilot, use the in-app feedback channel so the issue can be tracked without publishing a personal contact address.

Pilot status

This policy describes the current test build only. Material changes to identity verification, photos, payments, advertising, data retention, or moderation will require an updated policy before those features are treated as part of the real service.
